SharpScanner Guide

SharpScanner is a modern Windows desktop tool designed to analyze, clean, and monitor your system for vulnerabilities, privacy risks, and performance issues. It combines multiple diagnostic and repair tools in one clean, intuitive dashboard.

Main Features

• Malware Removal: Runs Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool (MRT) to scan your PC for malware and automatically clean infections.
• Spyware / Privacy Scanner: Scans your browsers for cookies, trackers, and spyware remnants. Allows deleting selected or all cookies safely.
• App Vulnerability Scanner: Lists installed applications and checks for outdated or vulnerable versions (based on OSV/Open Source Vulnerability data).
• Performance Monitor: Displays real-time CPU, RAM, and Disk usage in a clean chart view with refresh capability.
• PC Information: Gathers system and hardware details — CPU, memory, motherboard, BIOS, OS version, network info, and more.
• Utilities & Maintenance: Includes quick system repair commands (e.g., Winsock reset, DNS flush) and diagnostic tools.

Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your central control hub — providing a quick visual summary of your system’s health, performance, and security status. It’s designed for clarity, giving you instant insight into key metrics across all SharpScanner modules.

Quick Scan

At the top of the Dashboard, you’ll see the "Run Quick Scan" button. Click it to perform a rapid system analysis — this checks for:

• Malware presence
• Performance bottlenecks
• Outdated or vulnerable apps
• Privacy concerns

You’ll receive a compact report across categories within seconds. Use this scan daily for a fast overall health check.

System Summary Cards

Below the Quick Scan button, the Dashboard displays summary cards showing:

• Total safe applications
• Outdated or vulnerable software
• Malware detection summary
• Disk usage and free space
• System uptime and load snapshot

These cards provide at-a-glance indicators so you can see what areas need attention without switching tabs.

Charts and Visual Insights

On the right side of the Dashboard, you’ll find two live charts:

• Vulnerabilities by Severity (Donut Chart): Displays counts of critical, high, medium, and low vulnerabilities across your system and applications.
• Top RAM Processes (Bar Chart): Shows the most memory-hungry processes currently running on your system. This helps you identify resource-heavy software or background apps.

The charts automatically refresh after each Quick Scan or App Scan.
